I cannot stress this enough….HA. However, stress has several negative impacts on our physical and emotional well being. Often times our spiritual and emotional well being can cause physical complications. If we internalize our stresses instead of handling them they can show up as physical issues such as high blood pressure, headaches, depression, anxiety, and gastrointestinal problems. Stress also leads to unhealthy habits to cope with whatever is bothering you like smoking, binge eating, and alcohol abuse. All these deteriorate your body and deviate you from building the strongest version of you. Ways to healthily handle stress include dealing with it at the source, realizing what really matters in the grand scheme of things, getting outside and exercising, and taking time to relax and unwind. Give yourself time to think about what truly matters.
